1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of pettyathletics.com. By accessing or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
2. Who we are
"Petty Athletics," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Petty Athletics LLC, a Maryland-based youth basketball training business.
3. Adult and guardian responsibility
The site's inquiry and booking tools are intended for adults. A parent, legal guardian, adult athlete, or authorized organization representative must complete all inquiries and bookings. Children under 13 must not submit personal information through the site or embedded calendar.
An adult who provides information about a minor represents that they are authorized to do so. Do not submit a minor's full name, date of birth, home address, medical information, diagnosis, or other sensitive information through a website form or booking note.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the site only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Harass, impersonate, mislead, or infringe the rights of another person.
- Submit unlawful, false, harmful, or malicious content.
- Attempt to disrupt the site, bypass security measures, introduce malicious code, or probe the site for vulnerabilities.
- Copy, scrape, republish, or commercially exploit site content without written permission, except as allowed by law.
5. Inquiries, booking, and service terms
A form submission or calendar request is an inquiry and does not create a binding booking or guarantee availability. A training session, clinic, event, or partnership is confirmed only when Petty Athletics and the responsible adult or organization agree to the applicable details in writing.
Pricing, payment timing, facility, scheduling, cancellation, rescheduling, refund terms, and any program-specific requirements will be confirmed separately. If these Terms conflict with a signed service, participation, or partnership agreement, the signed agreement controls for that engagement.
6. Participation documents and consent
Before an athlete participates, Petty Athletics may require a separate participation agreement, parent or guardian consent, emergency contact information, and health or safety information reasonably needed for the service. Those materials are separate from these website Terms and may contain additional requirements, releases, or acknowledgments.
Photographs, video, and testimonials will be used only with appropriate permission. Contact hi@pettyathletics.com with a removal request; we will evaluate and respond to reasonable requests, subject to legal and contractual obligations.
7. Physical activity and medical disclaimer
Basketball training and related activities involve exertion, contact, movement, and an inherent risk of injury. Website content is for general informational purposes and is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. A parent, guardian, or adult athlete should determine whether participation is appropriate and consult a qualified health professional when appropriate, including when an athlete has an injury, disability, health condition, or other concern.
8. Intellectual property
The site and its text, design, logos, photographs, video, graphics, and other content are owned by Petty Athletics LLC or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Petty Athletics names, wordmarks, and the P/A monogram are Petty Athletics brand assets. No license is granted except the limited right to view and use the site for its intended purpose.
9. Third-party services and links
The site embeds or links to services that Petty Athletics does not control, including Cal.com and social-media platforms. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Petty Athletics is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or privacy practices.
10. Disclaimers
The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Petty Athletics disclaims warranties concerning the site, including warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Petty Athletics does not guarantee any athletic, academic, recruiting, team-placement, or other outcome from viewing the site or participating in a service.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Petty Athletics LLC and its owners, coaches, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to use of the website or a third-party service linked or embedded on it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these website Terms will be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Maryland, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
13. Changes and severability
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top will identify the latest version. Changes apply prospectively when posted. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
